USMT comprises a set of tools, which perform the user state acquisition and the loading operations, and a set of information files (.inf files), which determine what information gets migrated. USMT operations (and related executable files) include the following: . Acquire user state information (Scanstate.exe) . Load the user state information to a new computer (Loadstate.exe) USMT information migrated (and related .inf files) includes the following: . Operating system settings (Migsys.inf) . User settings (Miguser.inf) .
